Imagine your body as a vehicle. How do you want that car to look & drive? If you want the beautiful car that runs smoothly, never breaks down, and performs at its optimal potential, you'll put the correct fuel in your tank, check the fluids and make sure everything is fixed right away so it doesn't break down correct? Well, there you have it.
Like with everything else, you will get out of something, what you put into it. If you want to lose body fat, develop and maintain sculpted muscle, increase energy, & avoid illnesses; your nutrition should be a priority.
